Services & Fees
First Step Abroad – Student and Travel Placements offers you a comprehensive service and helps you find a suitable volunteer or internship position and/or a language course. In addition, we offer a variety of leisure activities, day tours and safaris in South Africa.
Our standard placement fee is only € 480 and includes all the services listed below. Please note that the fees for all-inclusive short-term programmes differ and current rates can be found under the respective programme description.
The following services are included in the volunteer and internship placements:
- Personal consultation and customised placement at a suitable project/company
- Assistance with arranging and preparing your stay in Cape Town (prior to and throughout your stay)
- Assistance with visa formalities, medical insurance, flight, etc.
- On-site support (contact person in Cape Town)
- Help with finding suitable accommodation and car rentals
- Welcome package with a South African SIM-card
- Orientation & advice for Cape Town
- 24-hour emergency number
- Organisation of regular meetings and day tours (optional)
Please note:
*We do not charge a registration fee – the placement fee is only payable once you have accepted the offered internship or volunteer position.
**We offer free airport pick-up.
